Taylor was raised in the Prince George's County Metropolitan Area. As a little girl in elementary school at the John Hanson French Immersion School, she joined the school choir because she stated that “she was bored.” Who would have thought? Upon entering the Suitland High School CVPA in Forestville, Maryland under the direction of Ken Boucher, her voice had escalated into a strong and beautiful soprano tone. There, she received extensive voice training, private lessons, music theory, vocal techniques and diction, and participated in choir concerts and competitions. Taylor’s studies and experiences has led to a diverse variety of music and performances in venues such as local schools, colleges, churches, out-of-state and special events. Taylor has received several years of piano lessons from the late renowned pianist and organist Sir Salone Clary, Sr.

Taylor has volunteered as a summer intern for Maryland State’s Attorney Office, Prince George’s County, and their Senior Citizen Workshop. She continues to sing at local churches and venues in the area, and volunteers for So Others May Eat, a community-based organization that helps the poor and homeless in Washington, D.C. Taylor’s journey in the music field has been rewarding. She is honored and blessed to be part of such an amazing opportunity to study music and soon began her career in the world of opera.
